The process

From application to certificate in three working days.

No drawn-out audit cycle. We review documentation, not paperwork theatre, and we tell you straight away if something in your formulation blocks certification.

01

Submit your products

Send your product list, ingredient declarations and supplier specifications through the online application. No site visit required for most categories.

02

Ingredient review

Our review team checks every ingredient, processing aid, carrier and flavouring against GHC halal criteria and flags anything that needs a supplier statement.

03

Certificate issued in 3 days

You receive a numbered digital certificate valid for five years, plus the GHC certification mark for your packaging, website and trade documents.

Prepare

What to have ready before you apply

Applications that arrive with complete documentation are the ones that finish inside three days.

  • Full ingredient declaration for each product
  • Supplier specifications for any animal-derived or fermented input
  • Halal certificates for any meat ingredients you use
  • Flavouring and processing aid statements where applicable
  • Company details as they should appear on the certificate

After certification: staying visible to buyers

Your certificate is valid for five years with no renewal invoices. Add the Halal Certified directory listing for $47 per month and importers, retailers and marketplaces searching for halal suppliers in your category will find you.
