We are an ingredient and formulation certifier. If your product is vegetarian, or uses meat that already carries a recognised halal certificate, it is in scope.
Products and businesses we certify
Vegetarian food & drink
Ready meals, snacks, bakery, dairy, confectionery, sauces, juices, soft drinks and functional beverages with no alcohol or animal-derived risk ingredients.
Cosmetics & personal care
Skincare, colour cosmetics, fragrance, haircare and wudu-friendly formulations reviewed ingredient by ingredient.
Medicines, vitamins & supplements
Over-the-counter medicines, capsules, syrups and nutraceuticals, including gelatin and excipient sourcing checks.
Cleaning & household products
Surface cleaners, laundry, dishwashing and industrial hygiene products, including enzyme and solvent origin review.
Products containing already-certified halal meat
If your meat input already carries a recognised halal certificate, we certify the finished product it goes into.
Restaurants
Restaurants that serve no pork and no alcohol, and whose meat products are supplied already halal certified.
What we do not certify
We are transparent about our limits. These operations need a slaughter-focused certification body, not GHC.
Butchers
Retail butchery operations fall outside our scope and require a slaughter-focused certifier.
Slaughterhouses & abattoirs
We do not audit or certify slaughter, stunning or zabiha operations of any kind.
Venues serving alcohol or pork
A restaurant or producer that serves or handles alcohol or pork cannot be certified by GHC.
Meat products: the simple rule
GHC certifies any product containing meat that is already halal certified by a recognised body. Send us the supplier's certificate with your application and the finished product can be certified in the same three-day window. We never certify the slaughter itself.
Restaurants: the simple rule
A restaurant qualifies when it serves no pork, serves no alcohol, and every meat product on the menu is supplied already halal certified. We review your supplier certificates and menu, then issue a certificate you can display at the door.
